History of the Orange Julep
In 1932, Hermas Gibeau opened his first conventional retail store on Saint-Laurent Boulevard, near the Old Port of Montreal, where he sold his delicious Orange Julep.
In response to the low attendance in the area on weekends Mr. Gibeau made a decision that would change the Julep experience forever. Faithful to the inspiration of its Orange Julep beverage, Hermas dared to give its building the shape of an orange.
